Imperial County CA
Imperial County CA is mostly desert bordering Mexico and Arizona. However, due to an extensive irrigation network that greens the desert with water from the Colorado River, much of Imperial County CA is dedicated to agriculture. Agriculture accounts for $1 billion in revenue here and provides 48 percent of the county’s jobs. Most of the rest of the jobs come from the service and retail sectors based out of a city aptly called El Centro that serves as the county’s commercial center. Alternative energy is also important in Imperial County, with important solar energy projects underway. Imperial County CA is probably best known for its numerous wilderness areas, including Algodones Sand Dunes, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, the Salton Sea, and Imperial National Wildlife Refuge. With so much to see outdoors, residents and visitors may not spend much time indoors. But indoor air quality is nonetheless important for everyone’s health and comfort. H2 Environmental can provide a wealth of environmental consulting services designed to detect and eliminate hazards like lead, asbestos, and mold.
